After getting interested in the ant antennae and mandibles.
I made this first robotic study.
It's made of parts from Erector Sets®, bits of copper, wood, light bulbs and an electric motor.

As the mandibles open up, the eyes and antennae focus on the prey.
Then the eyes and antennae get out of the way as the mandibles close.
