My church (McKinney Fellowship Bible Church) asked that I do a couple of art pieces having to do with the book of Hebrews chapters 11-12, called the faith book. This is the first on I did called FAITH.

It's a shadow box with paper and brass cutouts making a 3D construction.
The lens to view through is a plastic dish surrounded with weather-stripping and brass.
The idea of the form is to look through the eyes of the astronauts.

In this world, we are like astronauts with space suits on but not knowing it. We only see the world through our limited window unaware of the unseen spiritual dimension just outside view.
Faith however, draws us and leads us in the right direction to the time that we are called to be with God and to see the grandeur that awaits us. At that time our eyes will be opened.
