We found a little Red-Eared Slider turtle on the deck begging for some water. He was about the size if a half dollar. We decided to save him and named him Turbo-the-Turtle.
At first we had him in a 10 gallon aquarium, then he grew into a 20 gallon aquarium.
Now he has gotten so big that we needed to do something else.

Here he is on the left,
visiting with some friends.

We were thinking about setting him free in a nearby pond, but after I had a bad dream about the potential outcome along with Winter setting in, we decided to do a turtle domicile upgrade instead.
Here's what I came up with.

One happy Turbo. (still with his friend)

- Turtles start out little and cute.
- Turtles grow a lot.
- It's a large commitment to have a turtle.
- It's easier to clean a larger tank.
- Cats like turtles.
